Medieval Castle

Contributions

3D Lighting

Able to not overload a scene with light and let the scene speak for itself

Paper Map - Learning 3D Lighting

Created a paper map first to show overall flow of level and help with placement of overall assets

Process

Goals of the level

To create multiple rooms with both a inside and outside area of the level to create how much bigger the castle feels from the outside

Hardships

Rooms felt really box like with creating each room with cubes for the walls and ceilings. How I overcame them: I used different textures to split up different sections of the walls to make them not feel as lengthy. Also pushed assets to edges of the walls to fill in gaps to help with a inconsistent wall look
